The Oregon Senior Center

'A new place to bloom!'

4350 Navarre Ave.
Oregon, Ohio 43616

The "JWH" Oregon Senior Citizens' Center is an excellent example of the warm community spirit alive in Oregon-on-the-Bay. The Senior Center was incorporated as a non-profit agency in March 1995 to support senior citizens’ independence and to encourage their involvement in the community.

The Center provides nutrition, referrals, education, socialization, transportation, volunteer programs, and many other activities for older adults in Oregon and surrounding communities. The Oregon Senior Center is the heart of our senior community. It is a place where friendships flourish, minds and bodies are nourished, and spirits are nurtured.

A sincere invitation is extended to seniors from all walks of life to participate at the Center. Community members are encouraged to support our seasoned citizens, whose commitment to the future generations have made life better.

A message to Our Community from the Oregon Senior Center.

The Oregon Senior Center is entering Phase 3 of our reopening plan. The following is a brief outline for Phase 3. Phase 3—The Center will open to the public from 9:00a.m to 2:00p.m. daily, Monday-Friday. We will limit the amount of participation and we require reservations for most activities. Many inside activities are being phased back into our schedule. We offer Supportive Services, Transportation, Escorts, Frozen meals, Grab & Go Meals and On-Site Meals. Safety of our community is first and foremost, so all guidelines of washing hands, self-declaration of health, and social distancing will be carefully monitored.

No exceptions.

Recreational type of activities which involve the handling of dice, cards, congregate meals

(meals served with-in The Center), dancing and exercise programs, will be permitted at this time with limited amount of people.

Please call 419-698-7078, if you have questions or to RSVP for an activity. Reservations are required.

These guidelines are not up for debate. We all look forward to the day we can fully re-open.

Thank you, The Oregon Senior Center

Oregon Senior Center is a Cooling Station

Please remember that the Oregon Senior Center is a cooling station! When it gets to hot, as it often does in the summer, The Oregon Senior Center offers a place for you to get out of the heat and cool down. Our doors are open Monday-Friday 9:00am-2:00pm (special hours by request) so don't sweat it out at home!
